A new service of our chemical laboratory

We are newly offering the Hardgrove method for determining the coal grindability index.

It is a parameter characterizing coal in terms of the ease of crushing it or grinding it in a mill. The result is a numerical value indicating the hardness of the material - the so-called HGI value. The lower the number, the harder and harder to mine the material is.

The index is then used, for example, to calibrate the coal crusher.
