CCC

The Chinese certification mark, generally known as CCC, is a compulsory marking of product safety. The CCC mark applies to a number of products that are imported, sold or used on the Chinese market. It came into effect on 1 August 2003.

The system is a result of integration of two former compulsory Chinese control systems, i.e. of "CCIB" - introduced in 1989 and applicable to 47 product categories, and of "CCEE" that used to apply to 8 categories of electronic products.
