ROHS certification and testing

We offer the conformity assessments pursuant to European Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS 2) on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. After completion of measurements, you will receive a report issued by a recognized European laboratory, which will serve as the basis for the CE mark.

What is RoHS?

It is a long-term objective of the EU to prevent generation of waste. Part of this objective is limitation of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) and contribution to the protection of human health and the environmentally sound recovery and disposal of waste EEE. For this reason, Directive 2002/95/EC – RoHS 1 was established. In 2011, a new recast Directive 2011/65/EU – RoHS 2 was adopted. This Directive has been transposed into the Czech legislation as Government Regulation 481/2012 Coll.

Government Regulation 481/2012 Coll. on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment applies to:

Small and large household appliances

• IT and telecommunications equipment
• Consumer equipment
• Lighting equipment
• Electrical and electronic tools
• Toys, leisure and sports equipment
• Medical devices
• Monitoring and control instruments including industrial monitoring and control instruments
• Automatic dispensers
• Other EEE not covered by any of the categories above
