On 13 October 2014, the EU Member States' representatives at the meeting of the Regulatory Committee adopted the Ecodesign requirements for boilers burning solid fuels (effective from 1.1.2020) and for solid fuel local space heaters (effective from 1.1.2022).
From 1.1.2020, solid fuel boilers will have to meet emission limits for Class 5 according to EN 303-5:2012.
