Beware of ENplus® pellet scams!

The ENplus® seal guarantees the quality of wood pellets. Unfortunately, there are also scams that harm consumers and distort a fair market. The SZU together with ENplus® Management is actively fighting against the misuse of this label and needs your help!    

How can you help?

• Check your pellet supplier: You can check your certification on the official ENplus website. Pellets certified by SZU from Czech producers are marked CZ xxx
• Meet the Blacklist: identify known scammers and avoid them. https://enplus-pellets.eu/blacklists/
• Do you suspect a scam? Use the online guide "How to detect fraud" and send ENplus® management a form with your report: https://enplus-pellets.eu/fraud-management/

The most common types of scams:

• Unauthorised use of the ENplus® brand in marketing (44%)
• Misuse of the brand on pellet packaging (26%)
• Falsification of certification (12%)
• Other scams (18%)

Warning signs:

• Suspiciously low ("bargain") price than on the official supplier's website
• Requirement of payment in advance on account, impossibility of payment on receipt
• Missing or suspicious contact details
• Pressure for a quick, time-limited decision

What does ENplus® do with scammers?

ENplus® management tries to solve problems amicably at first. If this does not work, the scammers are blacklisted.
Finally, ENplus® reserves the right to take the scammers to court, in which case a fine may be issued.

Why is the fight against scams important?

Scamming compromises the quality of the pellets and can damage your heating equipment. In addition, it undermines the efforts of honest companies to have a transparent market.
