MECHANICAL TESTING OF METALLIC MATERIALS

Mechanical tests of metal and other materials are carried out in Jablonec nad Nisou.

What is being tested

• The tensile strength of metal materials and products at ambient temperature, e.g. sheet metal, wire, tubes, bolts, lan....., we can also determine yield strength, elongation, contraction, etc.
• Hardness according to Brinell, Rockwell, Vickers at various loads
• Tensile/compression testing of various materials and products up to 50 tonnes on universal tearing machines - we test e.g. glass beads, plastic products, leather and textile tapes
• Torsional strength on bolts, wires, screws

What we test on:

• We use four different tearing machines with different ranges, the smallest has a range of 0 to 10 kN, the largest 0 to 50 kN
• The latest addition is a Shimadzu tearing machine designed for testing plastics (tensile, flexure), textiles, films, etc.
• Hardness is measured on a fully automatic hardness tester Nemesis 9000
• For torsional strength we have a special instrument capable of measuring torsional forces up to 500 Nm

What is the output:

A report from an accredited testing laboratory with photo documentation, evaluation and graphical record of the test.

Why test:

Mechanical testing to determine if a material or product has the required properties. The values found can be compared with the given standards to determine their suitability for use in buildings, structures or various equipment. By testing, we can detect that products or materials do not meet the requirements and thus avoid their use and subsequent complaints.

The results of the tests can also be used to issue certificates 3.1.
